As we mentioned in a blog post a few months ago, inspecting and servicing towers is no easy feat. It’s time consuming, costly, and can also be quite dangerous. However, as technology advances, drones are becoming a popular alternative. So much so in fact, that the FAA regulations have created backlogs – commercial licensing is now taking more than 8 months.

The high demand for aerial drone inspections is not only safer, but is also creating profitable businesses for drone owners, and cheaper costs and shorter wait times for tower owners. In fact, estimates suggest that the drone industry will be a $13.8 Billion industry by the end of 2016. It will also create more than 200,000 jobs within that first year once the FAA opens their roles. Talk about a game changer!
